{"id":1247,"date":"2017-08-25T10:35:16","date_gmt":"2017-08-25T14:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/?p=1247"},"modified":"2023-12-15T00:36:12","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T05:36:12","slug":"updating-your-name-in-simmons-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/?p=1247","title":{"rendered":"Updating Your Name in Simmons&#8217; Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This summer, Simmons Technology partnered with Public Safety, Student Life, and the Registrar\u2019s Office to help implement an important College-wide policy allowing students to use a first name other than their legal first name at Simmons.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, all Simmons students can now update their first name and have it reflected in AARC, on class rosters, as part of their Simmons e-mail addresses, and on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.simmons.edu\/student-life\/life-at-simmons\/campus-card\/get-your-campus-card\">Simmons ID cards<\/a>.
