That might be a slight exaggeration, but it\u2019s not far off. Threats to personal and organizational information are constant, and while there is nothing you can do to be 100% safe from attacks, you can take some simple steps to be more secure.<\/p>\n<p>October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), and we want to help you understand the threats to your computers, mobile devices, and data.<\/p>\n<p>The following resources and tips can help you go a long way toward keeping your information safe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/internal.simmons.edu\/students\/general-information\/technology\/information-security\">Simmons College Guide to Information Security<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/servicedesk.simmons.edu\/articles\/index.php?action=showEntry&amp;data=4113\">Download and Install Antivirus Software<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stopthinkconnect.org\/tips-advice\/general-tips-and-advice\">General Tips and Advice from Stop. Think. Connect.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/staysafeonline.org\/stay-safe-online\/keep-a-clean-machine\/spam-and-phishing\">Guide to Spam and Phishing<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/staysafeonline.org\/stay-safe-online\/free-security-check-ups\/\">Free Security Check-ups and Tools<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Last, but not least, don\u2019t ignore those notifications to update your apps and operating system. Many updates include vital security enhancements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also want to thank the entire community for your help in making SharkPass two-step verification a success.
