{"id":1667,"date":"2021-10-06T07:34:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-06T11:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/?p=1667"},"modified":"2021-10-05T17:18:03","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T21:18:03","slug":"sharkpass-duo-mobile-app-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/?p=1667","title":{"rendered":"Sharkpass Duo Mobile App Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"310\" class=\"wp-image-1668\" style=\"width: 150px;\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/duomobileupdate150.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of Updated Duo Mobile\" srcset=\"https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/duomobileupdate150.png 150w, https:\/\/technews.simmons.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/duomobileupdate150-145x300.png 145w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Beginning in October, Duo Security \u2014 the technology behind <a href=\"https:\/\/sharkpass.simmons.edu\/\">Simmons Sharkpass<\/a> \u2014 will be updating their mobile application on Apple iOS and Android platforms.&nbsp; The redesigned application, which will be released through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, will be delivered if you have automatic updates enabled on your device.&nbsp; The new version\u2019s improvements include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Updating the position of the Approve \/ Deny buttons so that Approve is on the right, a more natural location.<\/li><li>Improving the accessibility of the app, including adding a landscape view, variable font sizes, and improved color contrast.<\/li><li>Providing clear guidance on restoring your accounts if you get a new phone.<\/li><li>Making it easier to find and manage your accounts with a simpler interface.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new version will contain all the functionality of the current one.&nbsp; All of your protected accounts will be automatically present in Duo Mobile after the update. You will not need to re-add anything.
