Your report alerts Technology to the phishing attempt so that we can investigate it. The sooner we receive those reports, the sooner we can respond\u2014including working to identify and quarantine similar messages before more members of the Simmons community encounter them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Gmail on your computer while viewing the suspicious message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the <strong>three-dot menu<\/strong> next to the <strong>Reply<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Report phishing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s no need to forward the suspicious message to Technology. In fact, reporting it through Gmail is much more useful to us than forwarding it, because the report gives us what we need to begin investigating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if you\u2019re not sure whether something is phishing? It\u2019s okay to report it. We\u2019d rather take a look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What if I already clicked?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you clicked a link in a suspicious message and possibly entered your <strong>Simmons username and password<\/strong>, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/servicedesk.simmons.edu\/\">Technology Service Desk<\/a> &nbsp;immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can help secure and thoroughly reset your account to make sure that someone else hasn\u2019t gained access.
